The desiccant or moisture absorber is a “pouch“ containing one or more raw material capturing ambient humidity, typically bentonite clay (or equivalent) or basic silica gel.
Its function is to preserve the moisture sensitive components (called MSL Moisture Sensitive Level) ambient humidity when it is in a moisture barrier bag. Pounches are packaged in “UNIT” (unit of measurement accordance with JEDEC J-STD-033C). Its use is detailed in J-STD–033C. For more information, please contact us.
